Vaugh's Bicycle Shirt Bears
7/1/2009 6:18:02 PM
They're absolutely adorable!! Thanks you so much.

Hi Sue. My family absolutely adored the bears! My son and daughter were especially happy to have such a personal keepsake. They both have their bears in a place of honor in their homes. I know I will be contacting you soon to have a few more made. Thanks again for not only the quality work, but also for the thought and caring you put into those bears! Dolores P.

Mother's Quilt and Father's Overall's
5/29/2009 2:05:15 PM

The quilt (which was hand stitched and 70 years old) and the overall bears...

Dear Susan,
You must know that during the past ten days your name, your mission, your talents and your gifts have been talked about multiple times, as I received phone calls from the little bears new homes…

...you could not have created more loving gifts.  I can never thank you enough.
This morning, Thursday, my sister and brother-in-law left our home after a two day visit.  I told them the story of your business (I have trouble calling it a business tough; it is more of a mission.), and the process of becoming aware of your work and then talking with you and meeting you and the comfort I felt leaving Mom's quilt with you and the prayers as you were cutting the quilt and creating, re-birthing it into these five loving bears.
I told them of a vivid dre
am I had the evening after I wrote the Quilt story card, a dream about my mother and father, and someone holding my hand and walking me to bed. That had to be my mother so symbolic of the quilt's transformation.
This process of transformation, from collected fabrics, to a family quilt, to a re-born family of quilted bears has been emotional and rewarding for my entire family, one which glued us together even tighter, closer. And as we each hug those bears now and in years to come, we will recall and feel the touches of our mother and our father and of each other.

I look forward to talking to you soon asking you to create a companion for my little bear, using my Dad's overalls.  More hugging memories! Thank you, Sue.
With sincere love, Gail
